I was comissioned by QinetiQ to create a multi-player Virtual World quickstart platform that is used as a blueprint for internal projects to build on top of. The team I designed and built the framework for had internal technical capability to create engaging 3D environments but didnt have the expertise to transform those into realtime multi-user worlds.
The solution I developed allowed artists and Unity developers at QinetiQ to easily clone the project, quickly import their 3D assets, and speak to and collaborate with stakeholders in an interactive, walkable virtual environment.
This enabled the organisation to take what was a static 3D environment and transform it into a multiplayer 3D world that interested parties can now walk around and interact with, which would have previously taken weeks now takes a matter of hours.
